Aug. 19 (Bloomberg) -- BP Plc will end its nine-day fortnight for many workers as part of an efficiency drive, the London-based Times said.
The arrangement where employees can take every other Friday off if they work a set number of hours every two weeks will be eliminated after a review of business practices, the newspaper said, citing an unidentified spokesman for the company.
The system applied at several of BP's offices, including the headquarters for several of its business units in Sunbury-on- Thames near London, the Times said.
The practice was not observed at the company's corporate headquarters in central London, the newspaper said.
