Oct. 8 (Bloomberg) -- StatoilHydro ASA, Norway's largest oil company, didn't find any hydrocarbons in a wildcat well in the North Sea, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said.
The well, located 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles) from the Tordis field and 7 kilometers from the Vigdis field, is the 33rd wildcat well in production license 089, the NPD said today in an e-mailed statement. StatoilHydro is the operator of the license.
``The well will be permanently plugged and abandoned,'' the directorate said.
