Oct. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Taiwan, which imports all of its coal, increased purchases of the fuel for a second month in August.
Shipments climbed 2.4 percent from a year earlier to 5.36 million metric tons, the Bureau of Energy said in an e-mailed report today. Coal imports rose 7 percent in July.
Coal accounts for about a third of Taiwan's energy supplies.
