July 22 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 0.51 percent at 8:05 a.m.
The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 27.30 to 5,377.00. Among the stocks in the index, 22 rose, 79 fell and 1 was unchanged.
Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Hsbc Holdings Plc (Hsba Ln), Royal Bank Of Scotland Group Plc (Rbs Ln) and Glaxosmithkline Plc (Gsk Ln). About 20.49 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
