JOHANNESBURG, August 6 (Reuters) - Gold Fields , the world's number four gold producer, said a one-day workers strike in South Africa had dented output at three of its four mines in the country, but could not yet quantify the loss in output.

Daniel Thole, a spokesman for Gold Fields, said the company's Driefontein, Kloof and Beatrix mines had seen attendance fall to 40, 29 and 15 percent respectively.

Attendance at the group's South Deep mine was at 4 percent, but output had not been affected at the mine which is partly under development. (Reporting by James Macharia)
