Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- South Korean companies plan to double daily crude oil production at the 15-1 Block in Vietnam by the end of this year.
State-owned Korea National Oil Corp. and SK Energy Co., South Korea's biggest oil refiner, expect output to rise to 100,000 barrels a day from 50,000 barrels now, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy said in an e-mailed statement today.
Korea National Oil operates the block jointly with ConocoPhillips, the second-largest U.S. refiner, and a Vietnamese company, the ministry said in the statement.
