Oct. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Vietnam's Ministry of Finance will impose a 5 percent tax on aviation-fuel imports starting Nov. 2, Thoi Bao Kinh Te Vietnam newspaper reported, without saying where it got the information.
The ministry is re-introducing the tax after eliminating it in June because crude oil prices have declined, according to the report.
The government canceled the tax to help the country's carriers maintain airfares after crude oil prices climbed, Vietnam News Agency said earlier this year, citing an unnamed official at the Ministry of Finance.
