Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- PT Medco Energi Internasional, Indonesia's biggest publicly traded oil company, said nine-month profit surged on a gain from an asset sale.
Net income rose to $292.6 million in the nine months ended Sept. 30 from $37 million a year earlier, Medco said in a statement to the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sales rose 52 percent to $972.2 million from $641.4 million. The company said it earned a profit of $246 million from selling a unit.
