Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 0.59 percent at 8:05 a.m.
The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 26.09 to 4,417.19. Among the stocks in the index, 40 rose, 58 fell and 4 were unchanged.
Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Rio Tinto Plc (Rio Ln), Vodafone Group Plc (Vod Ln) and Royal Dutch Shell Plc (Rdsa Ln). About 20.94 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
