Jan. 9 (Bloomberg) -- France's benchmark stock index, the CAC 40, rose 0.24 percent at 9:05 a.m.
The index of 40 companies traded on the Paris Bourse rose 8.05 to 3,332.38. Among the stocks in the index, 30 rose, 9 fell and 1 was unchanged.
Gains in the CAC 40 were led by Arcelormittal, Bnp Paribas and Axa Sa. About 2.54 million shares traded in the CAC 40.
