May 18 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stock futures advanced, with the contract on the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index gaining 0.4 percent to 886.50 as of 10:30 a.m. in London.
Broadcom Corp. climbed 2 percent to $21.25 in German trading. The maker of chips for wireless headsets and TVs was raised to “overweight” from “equal weight” at Morgan Stanley, which also lifted its stance on U.S. semiconductor shares to “attractive.”
