Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in U.S. trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Altera Corp. (ALTR US): The maker of programmable semiconductors said it expects sales for the fourth quarter to be 15 percent to 18 percent higher from the previous three months. Previously, it projected sales growth of 10 percent at most.
Cutera Inc. (CUTR US): The maker of lasers to remove hair said it postponed “indefinitely” the release of its TruSculpt body contouring product because clinical data failed to meet expectations.
Guess? Inc. (GES US): The clothing maker forecast 2010 profit of at least $2.45 a share, topping the average analyst estimate of $2.19, according to Bloomberg data.
NetList Inc. (NLST US): Inphi Corp. said it filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the computer-memory systems maker.
OmniVision Technologies Inc. (OVTI US): The maker of image sensors for camera phones forecast third-quarter revenue of $160 million at most, trailing the average analyst estimate of $171.7 million.
SandRidge Energy Inc. (SD US): The producer of natural gas and crude oil agreed to buy Forest Oil Corp.’s (FST US) stake in Permian Basin properties in West Texas and New Mexico for approximately $800 million.
