OSAKA, Japan, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa said on Monday that China's economy is likely to gradually slow with the ending of the Olympics, but will sustain high growth for the time being.
"I don't see any sign of change in the expansion of consumption in China even after the end of the Olympic Games," Shirakawa told a news conference after meeting business executives in Osaka, western Japan.
He had been asked about the effect on Japan of changes in the Chinese economy. (Reporting by Leika Kihara)
