BNP Paribas SA (BNP FP): France's largest bank by market value reports third-quarter earnings before the market opens in Paris. Profit probably declined to 1.38 billion euros from 2.03 billion euros a year earlier, according to the median of 13 analyst estimates, on subprime-related writedowns and charges linked to the failure of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. The shares gained 3.08 euros, or 5.6 percent, to 58.50 euros.

Heurtey Petrochem SA (ALHPC FP): The maker of cracking furnaces and other oil industry equipment won a 60 million-euro contract from Hellenic Petroleum. The shares rose 2.16 euros, or 11 percent, to 21.66 euros.

JCDecaux SA (DEC FP): The world's second-largest seller of outdoor advertising cut its forecast for sales growth and profitability this year as the slowing economy weighs on ad spending in the U.K. Revenue excluding currency changes and acquisitions will rise 5.5 percent to 6 percent this year, down from a previous forecast of 6 percent to 7 percent, the company said. The shares added 31 cents, or 2.2 percent, to 14.16 euros.

Keyrus (KEY FP): The computer-services company that installs database tracking software said third-quarter revenue fell to 24.3 million euros from 26.1 million euros a year earlier and forecast improved earnings for the second half of this year. The shares rose 4 cents, or 7.1 percent, to 60 cents.

M6-Metropole Television SA (MMT FP): France's second- largest commercial television company said third-quarter sales slipped 1 percent to 271.1 million euros as advertising revenue declined for its main TV channel. The shares rose 36 cents, or 2.8 percent, to 13.10 euros.

Pernod Ricard SA (RI FP): The world's second-largest liquor company, has seen no ``major impact'' on revenue from the credit crunch, Le Figaro reported, citing an interview with Managing Director Pierre Pringuet. The shares rose 1.55 euros, or 2.9 percent, to 55.20 euros.

Total SA (FP FP): Europe's third-largest oil company reports third-quarter earnings before the market opens in Paris. Profit, excluding changes in the value of the company's stake in drugmaker Sanofi-Aventis SA, likely rose 28 percent to 3.85 billion euros, according to the median of nine analyst estimates, as higher crude and natural-gas prices offset lower production. The shares added 1.50 euros, or 3.5 percent, to 44.50 euros.
