Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 0.57 percent at 8:05 a.m.
The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 24.52 to 4,263.49. Among the stocks in the index, 39 rose, 57 fell and 6 were unchanged.
Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Bhp Billiton Plc (Blt Ln), Vodafone Group Plc (Vod Ln) and Rio Tinto Plc (Rio Ln). About 12.48 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
