Daimler, E.ON, Roche, SBM, Thales: European Equity Preview

March 10 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies may have unusual price changes in European trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are from the previous close.

The Dow Jones Stoxx 600 fell 1 percent to 157.97. The Dow Jones Stoxx 50 Index dropped 0.9 percent to 1,614.75. The Euro Stoxx 50 Index, a benchmark for the nations using the euro, decreased 0.4 percent to 1,809.98.

Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCVN SW): Switzerland’s second- biggest state-controlled bank is due to report full-year results. The shares dropped 7.4 percent to 265.25 francs.

Daimler AG (DAI GY): The world’s second-biggest maker of luxury cars was raised to “overweight” from “underweight” at Morgan Stanley. The shares added 0.1 percent to 18.56 euros.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG (LHA GY): Europe’s second-biggest airline plans to report monthly traffic. The shares fell 1.5 percent to 7.86 euros.

D/S Norden A/S (DNORD DC): Denmark’s biggest dedicated shipping line may report fourth-quarter profit of $63 million on $499.6 million in sales, the average analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. Norden climbed 0.6 percent to 176.50 kroner.

European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co. (EAD FP): The owner of planemaker Airbus SAS may report net income of 1.15 billion euros ($1.45 billion), according to the average analyst estimate. The stock gained 0.7 percent to 10.20 euros.

E.ON AG (EOAN GY): Germany’s largest utility may report that fourth-quarter earnings before writedowns jumped 15 percent after it added generation capacity and clients abroad, and energy prices rose, according to analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News. The shares added 0.1 percent to 20.22 euros.

Fiat SpA (F IM): Sales of new vehicles in Brazil, the Italian carmaker’s second-largest market, fell 0.7 percent last month, according to Anfavea, the country’s automaker association. The stock lost 3.2 percent to 3.82 euros.

Roche Holding AG (ROG VX): The world’s biggest maker of cancer drugs is a near a deal to buy Genentech Inc. for $46.7 billion, or $95 a share, the Wall Street Journal reported. The shares gained 3.5 percent to 133.3 francs.

SBM Offshore NV (SBMO NA): The world’s largest supplier of floating oil production platforms reports full-year earnings after the close of trading. The company reported preliminary results on Jan. 27, saying net income declined 16 percent to $222 million. SBM retreated 0.2 percent to 10.20 euros.

Societe Television Francaise 1 (TFI FP): The owner of France’s most-watched television channel said advertising revenue fell 20 percent in January and February from a year earlier, while its share of the advertising market declined by 3.7 percentage points to 57.9 percent. The shares lost 6.7 percent to 5.15 euros.

Thales SA (HO FP): Europe’s largest defense-electronics maker won a C$184 million ($141 million) contract with the Canadian government for battlefield software systems support. The shares slipped 0.7 percent to 29.14 euros.
