July 29 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 0.62 percent at 8:05 a.m.
The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 33.00 to 5,279.60. Among the stocks in the index, 15 rose, 80 fell and 7 were unchanged.
Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Royal Bank Of Scotland Group Plc (Rbs Ln), Hsbc Holdings Plc (Hsba Ln) and Hbos Plc (Hbos Ln). About 27.89 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
