SAO PAULO, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Brazilian airline Gol Linhas Aereas reported on Tuesday a net loss of 171.7 million reais ($106.6 million) for the second quarter versus a loss of 35.37 million reais in the year-earlier period.
In the first quarter of this year, Gol booked a loss of 3.5 million reais. The earnings were reported under U.S. accounting principles. ($1=1.61 reais) (Reporting by Todd Benson; Editing by David Holmes)
