AmBev, America Movil, Banco de Chile: Latin Equity Preview

Nov. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies may have unusual price changes today in Latin America trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices reflect the previous close.

The MSCI Latin America Index rose 1.7 percent yesterday to 1,909.77.

Brazil

Cia. de Bebidas das Americas (AMBV4 BS): Latin America’s biggest brewer had the outlook on its credit rating changed to stable from positive by Moody’s Investors Service. AmBev fell 4.5 percent to 99.36 reais.

Laep Investments Ltd. (MILK11 BS): The private-equity fund that controls Parmalat Brasil SA called a meeting of shareholders to vote on whether to sell assets of several subsidiaries in Brazil. Laep rose 3.3 percent to 31 centavos.

MMX Mineracao e Metalicos SA (MMXM3 BS): The mining company controlled by Brazilian billionaire Eike Batista will boost iron- ore output 65 percent next year, technical manager Angelo Falco said yesterday. MMX fell 2.7 percent to 2.85 reais.

Chile

Banco de Chile (CHILE CC) and Banco Santander Chile (BSAN CC): Banco de Chile is on track to beat Deutsche Bank AG’s fourth-quarter earnings estimate by 14 percent, while Santander may miss by 3 percent, based on results released yesterday. Banco de Chile fell 1.6 percent to 32.75 pesos. Santander slid 0.9 percent to 20.48 pesos.

Mexico

America Movil SAB (AMXL MM): Moody’s revised its outlook on $6.5 billion in debt of Latin America’s biggest mobile-phone company to stable from positive. America Movil fell 5.6 percent to 19.57 pesos.

Empresas ICA SAB (ICA* MM): Mexico’s largest construction company won a contract valued at 9.6 billion pesos ($725 million). The contract will be done by a group that also includes Carso Infraestructura y Construccion SAB (CICSAB1 MM). ICA fell 4 percent to 17.19 pesos. Cicsa declined 0.6 percent to 6.17 pesos.
