Nov. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The following events and economic reports may influence trading in Asian currencies today. Exchange rates are from the previous session.

Japanese yen: Chief Cabinet Secretary Takeo Kawamura will hold media briefings at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Tokyo.

Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa will give a speech at Tokyo University at 5 p.m. in Tokyo.

The yen traded at 95.57 against the dollar at 7:20 a.m. in Sydney.

Philippine peso: The National Statistics Office will report September’s imports and trade balance at 9 a.m. in Manila. Imports rose 1.1 percent from a year earlier in August, the slowest pace in 15 months, as manufacturers bought fewer electronics parts.

The peso was at 49.46.

Singapore dollar: Industrial production fell 8.1 percent in October from a year earlier, after gaining 2.4 percent the previous month, economists forecast in a Bloomberg News survey before the Economic Development Board reports the figures at 1 p.m. local time.

Manufacturing unexpectedly increased for the first time in three months in September as higher pharmaceuticals output offset a decline in electronics production.

The Singapore dollar was at S$1.5074.
