Daily Mail, National Grid, Sky: U.K., Irish Equity Preview

Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in U.K. and Irish markets today. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last market close.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index fell 202.87, or 5 percent, to 4,005.68. The FTSE All-Share Index declined 5 percent, and Ireland's ISEQ Index fell 1 percent.

U.K. companies:

British Sky Broadcasting Group Plc (BSY LN): The broadcaster wants to keep its stake in ITV Plc but will wait until the last moment before deciding whether to take legal action to do so, the Financial Times newspaper said. Sky fell 11.75 pence, or 3 percent, to 363.25 pence.

Daily Mail and General Trust Plc (DMGT LN): The publisher of Britain's Daily Mail newspaper announces earnings. Daily Mail fell 9.75 pence, or 4 percent, to 250.5 pence.

Halfords Group Plc (HFD LN): The U.K.'s largest car-part and bicycle retailer announces earnings. Halfords declined 6.5 pence, or 3 percent, to 223.25 pence.

Hampson Industries Plc (HAMP LN): The U.K. company that gets half its sales from lightweight aircraft announces earnings. Hampson fell 1.75 pence, or 2 percent, to 97.5 pence.

Mothercare Plc (MTC LN): Britain's largest specialist retailer of baby and toddler products announces results. Mothercare fell 21.5 pence, or 7 percent, to 268.5 pence.

National Grid Plc (NG/ LN): The owner of gas and power networks in Britain and the U.S. will probably report a decline in pretax profit for the fiscal first half because of higher interest costs after the acquisition of KeySpan Corp. National Grid fell 41.5 pence, or 6 percent, to 690 pence.

PayPoint Plc (PAY LN): The operator of the U.K.'s biggest cash and Internet payment collection network announces earnings. Paypoint was little changed at 520 pence.

Young & Co.'s Brewery Plc (YNGA LN): The brewery which has more pubs along the banks of England's River Thames than any rival announces earnings. Young's fell 6 pence, or 1 percent, to 409 pence.
