Eurogerm, GDF, Orpea, Peugeot, Valeo: French Stocks Preview

July 8 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose stocks may have unusual changes in Paris. Symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.

France's CAC 40 Index advanced 76.59, or 1.8 percent, to 4,342.59, after falling 3 percent last week. The SBF 120 Index gained 1.7 percent.

Eurogerm SA (ALGEM FP): The maker of food ingredients reported a 13 percent rise in net income for fiscal 2008 to 3.5 million euros and said it plans to pay a dividend of 30 cents a share. The stock declined 10 cents, or 0.7 percent, to 15 euros.

Gaz de France SA (GAZ FP): The operator of Europe's largest natural-gas network said it plans a storage joint venture with Gas Plus in Italy. The shares rose 1.9 euros, or 4.9 percent, to 40.81 euros.

Orpea SA (ORP FP): France's largest publicly traded retirement home operator said second-quarter revenue rose 31 percent to 170.3 million euros and raised its full-year forecast to 680 million euros. The shares added 1.28 euros, or 4.5 percent, to 29.97 euros.

PSA Peugeot Citroen (UG FP): Europe's second-largest carmaker reports first-half sales before the market opens in Paris. The shares dropped 20 cents, or 0.6 percent, to 31.95 euros.

Saft Groupe SA (SAFT FP): The maker of batteries used in submarines and satellites won a contract worth 600,000 euros from India's Lanco Infratech Ltd. to provide back-up power for a plant in Karnataka, southern India. The shares gained 1.37 euros, or 5.3 percent, to 27.41 euros.

SeLoger.com SA (SLG FP): France's largest provider of online real-estate advertisements bought 100 percent of Belles Demeures magazine. It didn't give financial terms. The shares rose 8 cents, or 0.6 percent, to 13.82 euros.

Sylis SA (LYSP FP): Rival computer-services company Groupe Open SA (OPN FP) offered 4.25 euros a share to buy the company, valuing Sylis at 41.2 million euros. Sylis shares dropped 20 cents, or 8.2 percent, to 2.25 euros. Groupe Open shares gained 20 cents, or 1.8 percent, to 11.10 euros.

Tonnellerie Francois Freres SA (TFF FP): The maker of wine barrels reported fiscal year net income of 16.69 million euros, up 10 percent from year-earlier levels, and forecast sales growth of at least 10 percent for the current year. The shares rose 8 cents, or 0.2 percent, to 34.88 euros.

Valeo SA (FR FP): France's second-largest car-parts maker won a contract from PSA Peugeot Citroen to equip more than one million vehicles with its Stop-Start technology by 2011. The shares gained 45 cents, or 2.3 percent, to 19.67 euros.
