HK shares end flat; properties, power plays shine

HONG KONG, Sept 12 (Reuters) - A rebound in local property counters pushed Hong Kong's main share index up 0.2 percent in skittish Friday trade, while power producers rallied on speculation of a retail electricity price hike in China.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI unofficially closed up 34 points at 19,422.72 points after falling to a fresh 18-month low of 19,157.73 earlier today.

The blue-chip index has fallen 2.6 percent this week closing below the 20,000 points level for the seocnd week running.

The China Enterprises Index .HSCE of top locally listed mainland Chinese firms edged up 0.1 percent.

Hong Kong markets are closed for a public holiday on Monday.
