By Stanley White Sept. 9 (Bloomberg) -- The Japanese yen gained against the dollar and the euro after falling stocks in Tokyo spurred speculation that investors will reduce carry trades. The yen traded at 107.83 per dollar as of 9:37 a.m. in Tokyo, from 108.28 late yesterday in New York. Japan's currency gained to 152.43 per euro from 152.96.
