U.K. Stocks Update: FTSE 100 Falls 51.49 to 4,342.72

Oct. 15 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 1.17 percent at 8:05 a.m.

The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 51.49 to 4,342.72. Among the stocks in the index, 24 rose, 67 fell and 11 were unchanged.

Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Hsbc Holdings Plc (Hsba Ln), Anglo American Plc (Aal Ln) and Bhp Billiton Plc (Blt Ln). About 18.70 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
