Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) -- France's benchmark stock index, the CAC 40, rose 0.63 percent at 9:05 a.m.
The index of 40 companies traded on the Paris Bourse rose 18.63 to 2,999.05. Among the stocks in the index, 32 rose and 8 fell.
Gains in the CAC 40 were led by Societe Generale, Gdf Suez and Vivendi. About 4.75 million shares traded in the CAC 40.
