U.K. Stocks Update: FTSE 100 Falls 41.71 to 4,121.90

Dec. 5 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 1.00 percent at 8:05 a.m.

The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 41.71 to 4,121.90. Among the stocks in the index, 28 rose, 71 fell and 3 were unchanged.

Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Bp Plc (Bp/ Ln), Royal Dutch Shell Plc (Rdsa Ln) and Bhp Billiton Plc (Blt Ln). About 9.84 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
