Jan. 21 (Bloomberg) -- China lowered jet fuel prices for domestic airlines by 330 yuan ($48) a ton for the first quarter of the year, the China Business News said, citing unidentified airline officials.
Jet fuel accounts for 40 percent of China’s three-largest airlines’ costs, the newspaper said, referring to China Southern Airlines Co., Air China Ltd. and China Eastern Airlines Corp.
The price of Singapore-traded jet fuel fell to $55.90 a barrel today, the lowest this year. The newspaper did not provide a figure for the new jet fuel price in China.
