European Stocks Rebound; Health-Care Companies Lead the Gains

Jan. 30 (Bloomberg) -- European stocks rebounded as health-care companies rallied. The Dow Jones Stoxx 600 Index added 0.3 percent to 191.43 as of 9:43 a.m. in London.

Roche Holding AG rose 2.4 percent to 164.2 Swiss francs. The drugmaker, taking its bid for the 44.2 percent of Genentech Inc. it doesn’t own directly to shareholders, lowered the price by 2.8 percent to $86.50 a share.

Actelion Ltd. climbed 3.8 percent to 63.55 francs. Switzerland’s biggest biotechnology company said Zavesca has been approved in the European Union against progressive neurological manifestations in adults and children with Niemann-Pick type C disease, or NPC.
