Jan. 30 (Bloomberg) -- The pound was little changed against the euro, set for its biggest monthly gain on record versus the European currency.
The British currency was at 90.56 pence per euro as of 6:31 a.m. in London, rising 3.8 percent in the week and 7.7 percent in January, the most since the common currency’s debut in 1999.
The pound slipped 0.4 percent to $1.4247, headed for a seventh straight monthly drop, the longest run of declines against the dollar since at least 1984.
