France Stocks Update: CAC 40 Rises 12.00 to 3,209.89

Jan. 14 (Bloomberg) -- France's benchmark stock index, the CAC 40, rose 0.38 percent at 9:05 a.m.

The index of 40 companies traded on the Paris Bourse rose 12.00 to 3,209.89. Among the stocks in the index, 30 rose, 8 fell and 2 were unchanged.

Gains in the CAC 40 were led by Total Sa, Societe Generale and Vivendi. About 2.40 million shares traded in the CAC 40.
