Jan. 22 (Bloomberg) -- The Swiss franc advanced against the euro after an industry survey showed investor confidence in the domestic economy rose for a third month in January.
The ZEW Center for European Economic Research and Credit Suisse Group AG said sentiment improved to minus 66.7 from minus 76.2 in December. The index dropped to a record low of minus 91.1 in October.
The Swiss currency strengthened 0.4 percent to 1.4966 per euro as of 2:54 p.m. in Zurich. It earlier weakened 0.6 percent. Against the dollar, the franc fell 0.3 percent to 1.1565.
