Archos, Coheris, EADS, LVMH, Michelin: French Stocks Preview

July 30 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose stocks may have unusual changes in Paris. Symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.

France's CAC 40 Index declined 3.96, or 0.1 percent, to 4,320.49. The SBF 120 Index lost 0.1 percent to 3,118.48.

Archos SA (JXR FP): The French maker of portable music and video players that compete with Apple Inc.'s iPod said first- half revenue dropped 10% to 40.9 million euros and cut its target for full-year sales by 23% to 100 million euros. The shares declined 4 cents, or 0.6 percent, to 7.29 euros.

Coheris SA (COH FP): The software maker's shares will resume trading today after the company decided to postpone a management buyout until later in the year. First-half sales declined 5.6 percent to 15.14 million euros. The shares last traded on June 11, when they closed at 3.28 euros.

European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co. (EAD FP): Europe's largest aerospace company reports second-quarter earnings before the market opens in Paris. Second-quarter profit probably rose to 388 million euros from 81 million euros, according to the median of six analyst estimates, on higher deliveries of Airbus SAS planes and lower costs from production delays. The shares added 48 cents, or 3.9 percent, to 12.67 euros.

Fleury Michon SA (FLE FP): France's biggest seller of cooked ham said second-quarter revenue rose 1.3 percent to 126.5 million euros. The company forecast a `strong decline' in first- half earnings and said it won't meet full-year targets. The shares lost 15 cents, or 0.5 percent, to 29.95 euros.

LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA (MC FP): The biggest luxury-goods maker reported first-half profit growth of 7 percent to 891 million euros, beating analysts' estimates after Asian shoppers bought more Vuitton-branded handbags, fashions and leather goods. The shares dropped 28 cents, or 0.4 percent, to 68.03 euros.

Michelin & Cie. (ML FP): The world's second-largest tiremaker reports first-half earnings before the market opens in Paris. The company may say profit was little changed in the first half at 437 million euros, according to the median of 12 analyst estimates, as oil and rubber costs soared and a U.S.-led sales slowdown spread to Europe. The shares dropped 1.34 euros, or 3 percent, to 44.15 euros.

Groupe Norbert Dentressangle SA (GND FP): The trucking company said first-half revenue rose to 1.6 billion euros from 876 million a year earlier, boosted by the acquisition of U.K. competitor Christian Salvesen. The company confirmed its full- year targets. The shares declined 77 cents, or 1.4 percent, to 54.23 euros.

Remy Cointreau SA (RCO FP): France's second-largest liquor company reports full-year earnings before the market opens in Paris. Remy may say it returned to profit in the last fiscal year after it sold more expensive Remy Martin cognac and Piper Heidsieck champagne. Net income rose to 89.6 million euros, according to the average of 12 analyst estimates from a year- earlier loss of 23 million euros. The shares added 8 cents, or 0.2 percent, to 33.88 euros.

Sanofi-Aventis SA (SAN FP): France's biggest drugmaker said it will appeal a decision from a Cologne court allowing Schweizerhall Holding AG to market its clopidogrel drug in Germany. Clopidogrel is a generic version of Sanofi's Plavix blood thinner, the French company's second-best seller. The shares added 30 cents, or 0.6 percent, to 46.95 euros.

Thales SA (HO FP): Europe's largest defense-electronics maker said first-half profit fell 48 percent to 289 million euros after lower gains from asset sales and writing down the value of two contracts with public transit systems. The shares closed unchanged at 37.64 euros.
