LONDON, Aug 13 (Reuters) - European stock index futures fell 0.5 percent in early trade on Wednesday, tracking weakness in U.S. and Asian markets on concerns about economic growth and losses in the financial sector.
Futures for the DJ Euro Stoxx 50 STXEc1, Germany's DAX FDXc1 and France's CAC FCEc1 fell 0.5 percent.
On Wall Street on Tuesday, the S&P 500 .SPX lost 1.2 percent. Japan's Nikkei .N225 was more than 2 percent lower. (Reporting by Sitaraman Shankar)
