Sep. 2 (Bloomberg) -- France's benchmark stock index, the CAC 40, fell 0.34 percent at 9:05 a.m.
The index of 39 companies traded on the Paris Bourse fell 15.37 to 4,456.76. Among the stocks in the index, 16 rose and 23 fell.
Declines in the CAC 40 were led by Total Sa, Arcelormittal and Alcatel-lucent. About 3.87 million shares traded in the CAC 40.
