Monday's News Recap: Oil Prices Plunge as Gustav Weakens, Japan's PM Resigns

(CEP News) - It was a quiet day in both Canada and the U.S. where markets were closed to observe the Labour Day holiday. Crude oil prices plunged, however, as a weakened Hurricane Gustav made landfall in Louisiana, sparing most oil and gas facilities the worst of its wrath. The day also saw a number of Fed and European speakers.
