Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Australia's Queensland state will today announce plans to overhaul its port authorities to reduce delays to coal exports caused by infrastructure congestion, the Australian Financial Review reported, citing the state's treasurer.
The restructuring will create the North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation to control the coal export ports of Mackay and Abbot Point, the newspaper cited Treasurer Andrew Fraser as saying.
The change should also enable the more efficient expansion of coal exports from the Bowen Basin, the report cited Fraser as saying.
