U.K. Stocks Update: FTSE 100 Falls 9.40 to 5,356.80

Sep. 11 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 0.18 percent at 8:05 a.m.

The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 9.40 to 5,356.80. Among the stocks in the index, 33 rose, 64 fell and 5 were unchanged.

Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Hsbc Holdings Plc (Hsba Ln), Astrazeneca Plc (Azn Ln) and Glaxosmithkline Plc (Gsk Ln). About 10.38 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
