Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, rose 0.24 percent at 8:05 a.m.
The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange rose 10.28 to 4,252.82. Among the stocks in the index, 56 rose, 26 fell and 20 were unchanged.
Gains in the FTSE 100 were led by Bp Plc (Bp/ Ln), Royal Dutch Shell Plc (Rdsa Ln) and Diageo Plc (Dge Ln). About 17.69 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
