U.K. Stocks Update: FTSE 100 Falls 55.75 to 4,244.31

Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 1.30 percent at 8:05 a.m.

The index of 102 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 55.75 to 4,244.31. Among the stocks in the index, 8 rose, 90 fell and 4 were unchanged.

Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by Hsbc Holdings Plc (Hsba Ln), Vodafone Group Plc (Vod Ln) and Bg Group Plc (Bg/ Ln). About 15.62 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
