Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- The dollar extended its advance against the euro, yen and U.K. pound.
The dollar rose 0.2 percent to $1.4860 per euro by 9:08 a.m. in London, from $1.4899 yesterday. The U.S. currency climbed 0.6 percent to 109.08 yen from 108.43. It was up 0.6 percent against the pound at $1.8672.
