Accor, Nokia, Remy Cointreau, SKF: European Equity Preview

Oct. 16 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies may have unusual price changes in European trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are from the previous close.

The Dow Jones Stoxx 600 fell 6.5 percent to 217.17. The Dow Jones Stoxx 50 Index dropped 6.6 percent to 2,249.51. The Euro Stoxx 50 Index, a benchmark for the nations using the euro, declined 6.5 percent to 2,578.06.

Accor SA (AC FP): Europe's biggest hotelier reports third- quarter revenue after the market close in Paris. Sales probably slid 3.8 percent to 2.02 billion euros, according to the median of eight analyst estimates, after the company sold its Go Voyages unit and as fewer travelers stayed at Accor's mid-scale properties. The shares lost 3.60 euros, or 10 percent, to 32 euros.

Electricite de France SA (EDF FP): The world's biggest operator of nuclear reactors said it won't make a new takeover offer for Constellation Energy Group Inc., citing a ``difficult'' credit market. The shares fell 2.82 euros, or 6.5 percent, to 40.81 euros.

E.ON AG (EOAN GY): Germany's biggest utility will not delay or cut investments because of the current financial crisis, Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung said, citing Chief Executive Officer Wulf Bernotat. The shares declined 2.67 euros, or 8.9 percent, to 27.41 euros.

Nokia Oyj (NOK1V FH): The world's largest mobile phone maker may say third-quarter profit fell 28 percent to 1.12 billion euros, according to the median estimate of 14 analysts in a Bloomberg survey. The shares declined 8.3 percent to 11.79 euros.

Pirelli & C SpA (PC IM): Marco Tronchetti Provera, chairman of Italy's largest tiremaker, is scheduled to attend a presentation in Milan. The shares fell 1.4 cents, or 4.1 percent, to 33.2 cents.

Remy Cointreau SA (RCO FP): France's second-largest liquor company reports first-half sales before the market opens in Paris. Revenue dropped 3.6 percent to 360.9 million euros, according to the median of five analyst estimates, after the company ended contracts to distribute lower-priced beverages and U.S. cognac demand weakened. The shares dropped 1 euro, or 3.6 percent, to 26.84 euros.

SKF AB (SKFB SS): The world's largest maker of ball bearings for cars and planes may report third-quarter profit was unchanged at 1.13 billion kronor, the mean analyst prediction, as manufacturers cut output on a worldwide spending slump. SKF retreated 5 percent to 71.25 kronor.

Stallergenes SA (GENP FP): Europe's second-largest maker of allergy drugs reported a 17 percent rise in third-quarter sales to 34.2 million euros and raised its full-year revenue growth forecast to ``about'' 14 percent. The shares fell 2.13 euros, or 5.2 percent, to 38.67 euros.

Sulzer AG (SUN SW): The world's second-biggest maker of pumps may say third-quarter orders rose 0.8 percent, according to a Bloomberg survey. The shares fell 7.7 Swiss francs, or 8.3 percent, to 84.7 francs.
